"I used to have this figured out"

Totally random musing for the day.....
Last week, Cindy and I went to a new restaurant (for us) in Baltimore, Xanadu to be exact. Our reservations were for 8 o'clock and we were seated promptly. Food was great and services was impeccable since we were the only patrons in the dining area. Around 9:30pm our check arrived and Cindy was launching into a story. Just then, the entire restaurant staff-including bouncers-came into the dining area and began clearing silverware, plates, and linens. Evidently the restaurant turns into a lounge at 10 o'clock. Cindy lost her train of thought as silverware was banged together and porcelain plates were piled on top of each other. Not only that, but one waitress/dancer (don't ask) began to talk on her cell phone. We gave the waitress our credit cards and and sat a bit appalled but the noise when, oh yes there is more, they began moving the center aisle booths. One booth happened to be occupied...by us! Fortunately they didn't have time to move our booth as we just finished paying the check. I was stunned at the lack of respect for the patrons! A simple warning from the waitress would have made the situation tolerable but, alas, no. Needless to say, we won't be returning!

You can DO at Xanadu, but Xanadu can't DO what da do do to you. Sounds like song lyrics, huh? I hope you and Cindy showed them how much you appreciated their rudeness. Generally, I do that by leaving a dime as a tip, but then again, your father is a bit eccentric. Just remember #1: to err is human; to forgive is devine; it is better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all; when one is stricken on the right cheek, let him who struck you burn in hell; guns don't kill people, but they help when you're trying to get even; there are no bad people, only bad restranteurs. You get the picture. I leave you with this thought: the road to heaven is paved with good intentions, but the road to hell is more travelled!!!
