There Ain't No Rest for the Wicked........
It's October now and the season is slowly slipping into fall. The leaves are changing, the temperature is dropping, and the air has that faint scent of crispness that I love so much.
So, here are some pictures from my goings on here in Annapolis!
Things around these parts have been a bit hectic. Vacations, staycations, work, and summer have given way to a more steady rhythm. Now, there is work, a dog, and the lure of downtown Annapolis. Perhaps that's what's keeping me away from the computer.... a harbour town with good coffee!
So, here are some pictures from my goings on here in Annapolis!
I celebrated my 30th birthday this August. My sisters organized a surprise party for me at, what has become a tradition, Mike's. There we enjoyed some crabs and conversation and then it was off for drinks and, well, getting drenched. (no one needs to see that!) Patti and Adrienne helped me celebrate later with cheesecake from the Cheesecake Factory!

So, Lindsey has gotten a dog. A Boston Terrier named Atticus. He's too cute for words (and too much to handle some days!)

I've been lucky to see a few bands this summer. When I went to NY to visit Nikkie we caught a concert with Safetysuit and 3 Doors Down. Then Sarah, Andy, and I took in Manchester Orchestra, Cage the Elephant, and Silversun Pickups at Ram's Head!
Oh yeah! Megan had a birthday too! So, of course we took some pictures!

I'll show you my stars, if you show me your stripes!
Ah, Annapolis in the summer. There has been so much to do. Stopping at the coffee shop for a bagel and iced tea, Irish Festivals, strolling through the historic district, 80's night at the Whiskey...... It really has been lovely. Add to the charm of the city the fun of hanging with family and friends-whether it's taking in a concert with my sister and grabbing a bite at Mother's or playing stylist to my best friend, this summer is turning out to be quite spectacular.

The temp's 88, hop in the water plug, just for old time's sake!
Summertime, and the livin' is easy. Isn't that the truth? So far this summer has brought some much needed celebration! My sister, Alyson, graduated from Johns Hopkins with her nursing degree and we celebrated in style with some food and drink. Also, my lovely cousins, Molly and Kelly graduated from high school. So, off us girls drove, to Harrisburg to partake of some family mischief. I'm curious, Aly, if we've been caught yet!

If You can Rock with Me I can Roll with You
April '09--
This post is long in coming, but alas, here it is! Nikkie came to visit at the end of Spring Break and we took the time to enjoy the city and let loose. When Nik comes to visit there is always some retail therapy, so we headed over the Bridge for some shopping. Once back we headed to Pusser's for some drinks and people watching.

The next day, we met up with her brother and his fiance and went to a Nationals game. Never been to their stadium but we had a great time watching the Nats cream the World Champion Phillies. Betting helped the game along!

Lastly, Nik and I spent the last day of her trip in Georgetown. Five years here and Nikkie has never been. We walked along the C&O Canal, up the Exorcist stairs, walked the university, and met Chris and Kristen at Rhino Bar for some wings and cold beer! Most excellent.
